Review of The Winowing Season by Cindy Woodsmall

I loved this second book in the series just as much as the first. I am not totally familiar with Amish customs so I pretty much have to hope that Cindy Woodsmall has it right. I enjoyed reading about how they started over in a new place after the tornado. They didn't just randomly pick up and go. It was thought out and done as a family trying to start a new community. I found the religious aspect of the book to be very inspiring. We should all look to the Lord more often. It was also refreshing to read about how the whole family pulled together for the good of the family. Everyone had a place in the family and they all did their part.
I would highly recommend this series of books to anyone who would love a change of pace from today's hectic world. I believe that books can take you places you would not otherwise go. This one does that. I am trying to be patient as wait for the next book in this series.
I received this book for free from Waterbrook Press in exchange for an honest review!
